Default Surf fishing with Cougmantx -120 lbs fish

Met up with Cougmantx a member here to show him some tips on surf fishing.

Here are the results from his entry into full scale surf fishing. We made some minor changed to his leaders for casting baits. The first location was where we met up to fish starting point at the beach. The surf was mediocre and was producing algae on main lines to make fishing complicated. Well the rest is history I said pack up let's go to another spot i know the currents produce some backwater sand bars near the corner of the pass. That would prove to be a good decision on both parts.

Here is what we did

Videos to back up a fine day surf fishing with fellow wadefishing.com member.

Flatshooker,

First off I want to give a shout to others on the board wanting to learn more about wade fishing and surf fishing. If Flatshooker invites you or you want to hire someone to teach you the ropes, he's your man! The guy is a fishing beast!

The pictures were from our first trip. We met up again on Thursday and landed a whopping 450 lbs of fish with the largest being a 60 lb. black drum!

I made a post on the board asking about surf equipment because I knew a couple of you enjoyed it. Flatshooker gave me great advice and as we all know, it's the little things that make a difference when it comes to consistent success catching fish.

Dude, what's up with the old man stuff...;-)

Looking forward to doing it again and y'all be safe out there!

It's the ones that swim around in his head that I wonder about...

He's a pretty good guy to take on a newbie like me.
