Hello AmysFishinAgain, welcome to Wadefishing.com

There's a nice place outside of Angleton on Bastrop Bayou in a small Brazoria county park just off Hoskins Mound road. Use this link http://www.flashearth.com/ and enter the coordinates, 29 5 38.7 N 95 16 57.8W on the left of the page under search to get an aerial view. This place is somewhat out of the way & doesn't get a lot of pressure. It's a good place to drive right up to the bayou's edge; it has a T-head pier and it is even a good place to set-up a generator w/lights to enjoy an evening if you’re equipped. Just take a lot of mosquito repellant w/you. You can catch a variety of different fish both salt & fresh water species. Bastrop Marina is a couple of miles away if you need supplies.

Another area is down in Matagorda TX, 28 35 51.5 N 95 58 41.1W. The Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) has put some major $$$ in the development of this area along the old river channel. There are several piers along this hard top road and one that is down on the beech. If you haven’t been there you’re in for a real treat. Be sure to check this link for more information. http://www.matagordabay.com/ Good Luck
